Web App Analyst

You figure out how the user navigates our web applications, find the pain points and help wrinkle them out. Google Analytics and A/B testing tools like Optimizely are some of the toolings you are using to get the data. You know that data does not just fall from the sky (or from a tracking script) so you are tech savvy enough to identify, track, and use the data you need to optimize the user experience.

The team:

Together with your teammates of the mobile App team in Berlin, you are responsible for the best possible customer journey within our mobile apps. You will be part of a cross-functional team consisting of Developers, Quality Assurance Testers, UX/UI designers, a Product Owner and a Scrum Master. Using the Scrum framework, we add new features, improve conversion and innovate our mobile app iteratively. Your contribution to the team is to provide performance insights for newly added features, the overall usability of the mobile app and monitor our KPI’s with a direct line to the Product Owner.

At the same time, you are part of the global Web Analytics tribe which is responsible for the alignment and guidelines of our data infrastructure among all takeaway platforms.

Your job:

  • Design measurable metrics and KPIs according to the business of stakeholders, and develop reports using Business Intelligence tools and languages such as Tableau, Amazon Redshift SQL and Python, so that the Product Owner can regularly keep track of the team's achievement and know where they are right no;
  • You are able to interpret the questions behind the question and have experience communicating clearly and in a concise manner with the stakeholders;
  • Proactively propose business activities and opportunities which is taken out from data to the Product Owner, so that he/she can take an innovative approach to efficiently and effectively improve the business;
  • Train fellow team members on the usage of the various data & analytics tools available;
  • You know exactly how data is gathered and processed by the different analyzing tools;
  • You are the first point of contact for behavioural analysis and mobile app optimization strategies by using Google Analytics, BigQuery, and similar toolings;
  • It would be a plus if you know how to find improvement points and troubleshoot tracking implementations on customer-facing mobile applications.

Your profile:

  • Advanced knowledge of SQL and Business Intelligence tools especially Tableau, Google Analytics and at least good knowledge of another data analytics tool like R, Python etc;
  • Being able to do in-depth analyses, for example, performance analysis about the different steps in the funnel;
  • You have at least 2-3 years working experiences as Web Analyst, Business Analyst, Conversion Optimization Specialist, Product Analyst or similar areas;
  • You have been working together with product and different IT departments;
  • You know how to assist them with insights from the digital analytics platform and help them optimize their products for app applications;
  • You relish working in a team and enjoy collaborating and sharing knowledge with your peers.
