Data Analyst Scoober

You will be a Data Analyst in the Scoober staff team, who will look into the challenges from the data perspective and help to transform data into valuable insights for the entire business.

Who are we:

Scoober is the operational branch within Takeaway.com and enables restaurants who do not have food-delivery drivers to join the Takeaway.com platform. For these restaurants, Scoober takes care of the delivery.

Currently, we're active in 10 countries and over 90 cities. A huge operation involving forecasting, orders, driver management, planning & performance, vehicles, and supporting tools & systems (of which most are inhouse build) with many stakeholders.

Main tasks of the data analyst is to support the operation from the data perspective, together with the team will be decided what needs to be done and it is up to you do it; analyse & interpret data, creating dashboards, support decision making, include new cities in operation, update models and think of innovative ways to improve the business for now and in the future, to stay on top of the food-delivery industry.

Your job:

  • Perform in-depth analysis like customer lifetime value, cohort analysis, forecasting, logistics operational performance analysis.
  • Carry out deep-dive analysis of daily business activities to support the decision-making process. Create reports and dashboards to guide stakeholders.
  • Help with the numerical justification of business cases.
  • Play a key role within the Analytics teams, responsible for implementing a cutting-edge data-driven strategy for Takeaway.com.
  • Aligning with the central BI Team to define goals and follow up on ongoing and future projects.

Your profile:

  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and stakeholder management skills.
  • 4+ years of experience working with Data Analytics / BI.
  • Hands-on and flexible in personality, structured and solution-oriented thinking, critical questioning and focusing on ongoing development.
  • Experience in defining and calculating KPIs.
  • Experience working in an agile environment.
  • Preferably an academic quantitative degree (MSc) in Econometrics/Economy, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science or another related field with a strong emphasis on quantitative analysis.
  • Understanding and experience on AWS/GCP data offerings.
  • Mastery of SQL and experience with BI reporting tools (e.g. Tableau, Qlikview, Looker) and modern databases.
  • Experience with statistical/mathematical programming languages (e.g. Python, R) is a plus.
  • Being able to do in-depth analyses like for example customer lifetime value, cohort analysis, forecast and modelling.
