We’ve finally announced the Takeaway.com Awards 2020 winners. In celebrating the best of the best, our partner restaurants were awarded based on their continuous hard-work and dedication to their customers.
The title for the Best Restaurant in Belgium was claimed by Luca & Papa located in Charleroi.
L’Arlecchino, successfully claimed the title of Best Newcomer. While the award for the Best Chain Restaurant went to Domino’s Pizza.
To truly celebrate our diverse range of restaurants, we introduced the People’s Choice category. This category recognised restaurants that offer something unique to their customers or who excel at creating delicious veggie food. The winner of the Best Veggie Restaurant and Most Game-Changing Restaurant and winners were decided by direct votes from the public.
Thanks to their wide range of veggie options, Falafel Top won the Best Vegan Restaurant award.
Winners received an exclusive award to showcase to their customers. They also received a special winner’s pack containing consumer vouchers, branded merchandise and a voucher to spend in the Partner Webshop, to drive their business.
All nominees were chosen based on specific criteria, such as their performance throughout 2020 – rating on Takeaway.com and the number of orders received – or how well they shine as a unique or food trend following restaurant.
Winners were influenced by the public. Customers had the opportunity to vote for restaurants either directly on the awards webpage or by ordering and leaving a review for their favourite restaurant on the Takeaway.com platform.
